After enjoying last years Revival so much another visit was always going to happen. This time I had a much better idea of what to expect and once again was not disappointed. Revival celebrates the sights and sounds of the circuit’s hay day period of 1948–1966. This year there was a particular focus on the ’60s.
The Shere Hill Climb has become an established part of the motoring social calendar but remains relatively small. Knowing little about the event, I took a chance and headed over to the Surrey hills.
MSVR delivered a thrilling weekend of racing from both single-seaters and closed wheel cars. With a chance to stretch their legs on the full Grand Prix Circuit at Brands Hatch.
Another year, another Festival of Speed, and once again the Duke of Richmond and his team deliver one of the best celebrations of motoring and motorsport. This year there were changes to the format we’ve come to enjoy over the last few years, including the addition of the ‘arena’ which allowed for various drifting and stunt riding demonstrations.
How often do you get the chance to watch historic sports cars running full chat on GP circuits? The Masters Historic Racing team deliver even more excitement by pitching big muscule cars against smaller-engined sports prototypes and GT cars. It’s a chance to see Chevrons take on Lolas, Porsche fighting Ferrari, alongside Ford, Austin and many others.
Romance, history, speed – Spa-Francorchamps has it all and what better way to experience this wonderful racetrack than with the sights and sounds of classic race cars. There’s also the added bonus of a fantastic road trip if you avoid the motorways, time to fire up the 911 and head on over to the mainland.
The GRRC Spring Sprint is a perfect opportunity for a spirited drive down to Chichester to watch a broad mix of machinery thrashing out lap times. It’s also relatively quiet spectator-wise.
Having seen images and footage from previous Members Meetings, I knew I had to attend. To do so, you need to be a GRRC member. I joined as a Fellow primarily so I could attend this event over any of the other benefits and I think it was worth the joining fee.
Another chance to watch a great mixture of different rally cars racing on timed stages. It’s also a refreshingly different use of Brands Hatch – how ofter do you get to see cars racing through the pits, the wrong way?

Unless you’ve been hiding under a bush or have zero interest in Porsches you cannot have missed the fact that year has been a notable one for the German car marque. Porsche have done a great job of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the first Porsche sports car, built in 1948.
