Detonators Breakfast, February 2022

Hot Rods and Indian motorcycles
It's the last Sunday of the month, that means it's time for another Detonators breakfast meet. With the sun shining and an Indian Scout Bobber 20 to ride, could there be a better way to spend a Sunday morning?

With spring around the corner and almost all restrictions lifted, breakfast meets are slowly beginning to reappear. The Detonators Car Club has been running for a long time and primarily the club caters towards traditional hot rods, customs and classics, both two and four-wheeled. This being said they’re a friendly bunch who were happy for us to park up a pair of brand new Indian motorcycles. Thankfully the bikes don’t look out of place alongside all the other vehicles in attendance and they draw a fair amount of interest too.

The breakfast meeting happens on the last Sunday of the month, 8.30 – 11.00 am at Oxleas Woods Cafe which sits at the top of Shooter Hill and is only a stone’s throw from the South Circular – the right side if you’re concerned about ULEZ?

I have to say a massive thank you to the Krazy Horse London team for lending me the wonderful Indian Scout Bobber Twenty. It’s really refreshing to ride a modern bike that fits in with the classics. Every model in the Scout range is comfortable to ride, even in traffic. For a mid-sized cruiser, it’s easy to manoeuvre, very stable at slow speeds and has plenty of power for when you need it. If you’re looking for a new bike then check out Krazy Horse as they offer bikes from many different manufacturers besides Indian Motorcycles, including MV Augusta, Fantic, Norton among others.
